Healing Isn’t Your Job: What Happens When You Stop Believing Every Thought

For 38 years, Baba Sam Shelley says being sick was practically a full-time job. By his early 40s, he was living with five diagnoses doctors called incurable, taking 13 medications a day, and relying on a cane and walker. Fourteen months after changing his relationship with his anxious mind, he says his life—and his health—looked dramatically different.

In this episode of The You World Order Showcase Podcast, Baba Sam joins Jill Hart to explore the provocative idea behind his book, Healing Isn’t Your Job. What if the mind constantly trying to diagnose, fix, predict, and protect you isn’t actually the part of you that knows the way forward?

They explore the difference between thoughts and inner knowing, why Sam calls anxious mental chatter “head trash,” the role presence played in his journey, and how healing practices themselves can sometimes become another source of pressure. Sam shares the realization that changed everything for him: if you can observe your thoughts, you are not your thoughts.

This is a conversation about getting quiet enough to hear the wisdom beneath the noise, questioning the stories we automatically accept as truth, and allowing more presence, trust, joy, and ease into our lives.

Because maybe your job isn’t to figure out how to heal. Maybe your job is to stop getting in the way of the wisdom that already knows what to do.

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: For 38 years, being sick was a full-time job, and then came 5 diagnoses doctors called incurable. 13 pills a day, a cane, and a walker.

2

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But the breakthrough wasn't another treatment, another technique, or even another thing to practice. It came from questioning something far more fundamental. What if the anxious mind telling you what's wrong, what everything means, and what you need to fix, isn't actually telling you the truth?

3

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Today, we'll explore a provocative idea. Healing isn't your job. And before we're done, I want to uncover what that actually means, because if healing isn't your job, whose job is it?

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Today, we are chatting with Baba Sam Shelleylli.

7

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Sam spent 38 years sick, and by his early 40s was living with 5 diagnoses his doctors called incurable. 13 pills a day, a cane, and a walker. 14 months after changing his relationship with his anxious mind, he says those diagnoses were gone, and he's now been well for 15 years. He's the founder of the Inner Healer School and author of Healing Isn't Your Job.

8

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Welcome to the show. Sam, it's great to have you with us.

9

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Great to be here with you, Jill, it's a pleasure.

10

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Alright, let's ask you the big question, you ready?

11

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Always.

12

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Okay, what's the most significant thing, in your opinion, as individuals, we can do to make an impact on how the world is going?

13

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: mostly to be present, to be fully here in this moment, and see how best to move in this moment. Usually the mind is frantically guessing, panicking, but if we just stopped, took a breath, a pause.

14

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I need to go this way. We're all chasing this mind noise, and it's not helpful. I call it the head trash, it's just noise, it's garbage, but it's taking us off our purpose. If we're just here now, in this moment, then we can make that difference in the world.

15

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: If we're not here, then we're just chasing these thoughts that are not…

16

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: necessarily supportive, and just creating more division in society. That's one of the things we see all this division in society, because everyone has all this competing head trash.

17

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: no one's really here in this moment, they're just engaged in these thought battles, as opposed to, okay, we're all here, we're all humans, how do we get along, how do we move forward together? And so the divisive… we're all divided, and it seems like they want us divided.

18

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, division sells, apparently.

19

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And we're not paying attention to them. I love the analogy that you bring up with the head trash, because it just…

20

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: that brings to mind, like, this big heap of garbage that… it's really what… if we create our reality from our thoughts, that's what we're in… and it's really what we're seeing, is this big pile of trash, and we need to, like.

21

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Smoosh it out to the landfill.

22

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, you look at the world, it's all a bunch of chaos, because most minds are chaos. If we step away from that mind into presence, then we can blaze that new path forward, but with the head trash in our thoughts, it's keeping life the same, or if it's not exactly the same, the same flavor of the same.

23

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And it… you say, healing isn't your job, and for somebody who's spent years searching for answers, trying treatments, changing diets, regulating their nervous system, and doing everything possible to get better, what do you mean by that?

24

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's not the mind's job. It's not this mental identity, trying to figure things out. There's something quieter and wiser within all of us. We can call it spirit, soul, or divine essence, or the one that sees through your eyes, or life itself.

25

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That wisdom knows how to… to correct the situation. We have to remember, the body is naturally at harmony, and…

26

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: you know, homeostasis is the body's natural state. Then you start adding all these thoughts, and all this stress, and all this anxiety, and worry. Now you're taking that body out of harmony.

27

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So we gotta remove all that noise to allow the body to come back into harmony, where it can do that self-repair work. And I say the mind's constantly interfering by, oh, let's try this, let's try this fasting, let's try this protocol.

28

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And you're doing all these things, and you're not making much progress, because it's not coming from that wiser, deeper place within us, connected to all that is, that knows exactly how to move forward. Like, my mind had no clue, how do I heal MS? How do I reverse bipolar?

29

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: The mind had no clue.

30

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But something within all of us, our own inner healer, knows exactly the way forward.

31

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: This… a lot of it is getting out of our own way.

32

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Because your mind doesn't know the difference between reality and stuff you make up.

33

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It doesn't.

34

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And… I'm not…

35

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, it's really…

36

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: up stuff that's really bad.

37

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And your mind's convincing you, your mind's very persuasive and convincing that its thoughts are correct.

38

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But it's not, it's really to realize the mind is only guessing, and it's preventing those guesses as absolute facts.

39

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But somebody will have a completely different perspective than you. So, who's right, you know? Then we start chasing thoughts about who's right.

40

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Well, who's right is that wisdom within us. That is our path. And if we, like I talked in the beginning, if we all took some time just to be present here in this moment.

41

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Then move from presence, life will change. But most of us are not here, and most people don't even understand what it means to be here. Like, right now, do you realize you're sitting, your feet are on the floor?

42

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: You're…

43

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: coming into body awareness and what you're actually experiencing. And most people, if you just watch people walking around, because I live in New York City, in the subway, people walking around, they're either glued to their phones.

44

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: or if you look at them, they're not here. They're sort of like on autopilot of where they're going. They're not fully engaged.

45

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And to this moment, they're…

46

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: You know, it's always like here in New York City, it's always this hustle and bustle, it's like their shoes are on fire, they got someplace to be.

47

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And they…

48

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And I saw this recently at, you know, Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. It's a really busy place, a lot of… thousands of people through there. You can see the tourists are stopping, looking at the ceiling. The locals

49

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: they don't even notice the ceiling anymore. They're just flying to the next train, the next place to be, and they're not slowing down and taking a breath and pausing.

50

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And if we just did that.

51

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But we catastrophize, we think of the worst-case scenarios, and we just keep going down that rabbit hole where nothing changes, so we just need to step out of that. But it is a practice.

52

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And that's one of the things that bothers me. People say, snap out of it or let it go. It's not that easy, or we would all be able to do it.

53

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I think it goes back to meditation. I remember when I first learned how to meditate.

54

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Or even prayer. Sometimes people will pray, and their prayers are just, like.

55

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: They're random, and they're all over the place, rather than just sitting and listening, and allowing your mind to still. It's not that you don't have thoughts, it's that you don't have to have an opinion on every thought that goes through your head.

56

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And that was… That was a life changer for me.

57

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Just because your mind brought it up doesn't mean we have to have a conversation about it.

58

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, meditation changed everything for me.

59

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But I was also under the impression, because I didn't really read any instructions with meditation, I just read meditation brings inner peace. Sign me up, I need inner peace. I was so stressed out and so overwhelmed with life, I just simply wanted peace. I had no clue

60

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: that I could… this body could heal. You know, MS. People don't walk away from that, literally, they don't. Or bipolar, or migraines, whatever I was going through.

61

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And just to understand, okay, so meditation equals inner peace, I just want inner peace.

62

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And I had no concern with the ailments or them going away, it just wasn't part of the equation.

63

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So, but I was under the impression that meditation means you stop thinking. I don't know why I got that impression, but that's where I got the impression that meditation means you stop thinking.

64

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That's what they tell you!

65

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Well, what I say is, though, if you stop thinking.

66

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: then the body's no longer alive. We always have thoughts.

67

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So if the thoughts disappear, then maybe your body has disappeared, your mind has disappeared, your…

68

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: you're not alive anymore in this body of thoughts. But anyway, so I was sitting there in meditation, I was in the impression that meditation means you stop thinking. So what I was doing is mind thinking, stop thinking, mind thinking, stop thinking.

69

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So I was in this loop for about 3 days. Mind thinking, stop thinking, mind thinking, stop thinking. Then on the third day, he's like, wait a second.

70

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: If I'm aware of my thoughts, then I'm not my thoughts.

71

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That was a huge realization for me, that I'm not my thoughts, because I nearly killed myself twice in my 20s from all these negative thoughts, that life is too hard, too difficult, as a bipolar. You know, I had these suicidal ideation, because I was taking my thoughts as truth. But once I realized, oh.

72

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: My thoughts aren't true. If I'm aware of them, then I'm not them. So my next big question was, well, if I'm not my thoughts, then who am I?

73

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because we're so wrapped up in this identity. If we don't have this identity, then who are we?

74

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And I wasn't a spiritual person. I didn't follow the spiritual teachers or anything like that.

75

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I followed… I was basically in…

76

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Trapped in the medical system. You know, see, doctors take medicine, they're the ones that knows what's best for the body, and which pushed me away from religion and spirituality. When I was suicidal in my 20s, in the psych ward, my uncle, the pastor, came in and tried to cast the demons from my head.

77

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That helps.

78

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So that really pushed me away from religion. I'm like, I don't have demons in my head, I'm not possessed.

79

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But in a way, I was possessed by my thoughts, not an outside force or an entity, but it was possession of thoughts.

80

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But… No one said, oh, You're taking your thoughts as truth.

81

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: come back in the presence. That would have been more helpful than try to cast demons from my head, so it kept me stuck in that medicine system for a while.

82

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But then, so just sending a question now, coming back to that, well, if I'm not this identity, it's not these thoughts, then who am I?

83

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And about 2 weeks later, I got my answer. I just heard a voice say, perfect spirit. I'm like, that's it. My spirit is perfect.

84

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I'm not this damaged body and mind. My spirit is perfect.

85

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Then I just had this feeling that all was well, felt a steep sense of peace, and that all is well.

86

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Then a little later, I just had an aha moment that my health challenges were over.

87

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: There was zero proof of it at that time.

88

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But I just lived like my health challenges were over.

89

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So, I still had my cane, I still had the migraine medicine, I still had everything. But I just said, okay, that's what the body's doing, I know my health challenges are over, and I just lived in that end state, my health challenges were over, and the body caught up to that.

90

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So, within the first few weeks, there was no signs of that.

91

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But with… after about the first month, then I was starting to see the inclinations that the health challenges were indeed over.

92

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because I also had… it's not about thinking, it's about this knowing that arises when the mind doesn't interfere, this quieter, deeper voice that we all have within us. I just had the insight one day that I need to do yoga. My mind was in absolute protest. You don't have balance, you're not flexible.

93

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But I didn't let my mind to sway me from that, so I didn't allow my mind to…

94

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: You know, I saw where my yoga studio was gonna be. I was like, I'm gonna go there tomorrow and sign up for yoga. I don't allow my mind to go research the website, the teachers, the programs. I know the mind was looking for fuel to not go to yoga.

95

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yes.

96

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yes, because the mind's always trying to talk us out of our intuitive voice. We have a hunch to do something a certain way, and it's like.

97

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But I always hear that this is the way to do it. Then 3 hours later of being frustrated, nothing is working. It's like, oh, I should have listened to myself in the beginning. That is the true voice. So, I did yoga, then within 6 months.

98

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: No more cane, off most medicines. The body was really starting to make a dramatic recovery rather quickly. Because yoga was teaching me, too, to be present, to be here, and not caught up in thoughts. And yoga was great for me, because with yoga.

99

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: If I was doing a balance-type posture, if I wasn't fully here in this moment, I got caught up in thoughts, I would get tipsy, like I was about to fall over, because I… because my balance was really poor, so I had to really keep focused, like…

100

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: the real estate balance, so that really forced me more into presence.

101

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But by that time, the mind really didn't hold much power over me. Once I saw that I had thoughts, but it wasn't my thoughts, it was just noise, I was able to distance and separate myself fairly quickly from that.

102

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I think a lot of people struggle with that, you know, once they have that realization, the mind still grabs them, grab, grab, grab, so it's always pulling yourself out, pulling yourself out, pulling yourself out, till you just come back into this moment.

103

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I love that, and it's so true, I…

104

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: we all experience it, and it's not like… I don't… I don't know, I could be wrong, but for me, I know it exists.

105

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I know that I can just laugh at some of the thoughts, because, you know, there's times when I'll be having a conversation that will never happen with somebody else who's not there in my head.

106

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Like… What are you guys doing?

107

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Is this really productive? We could move on.

108

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, the mind will get lost in the what-if story. What about this? What about this? When I run into this person, what would the conversation be? And we'll start to play that out.

109

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's just a waste of time, but…

110

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That's what the mind does. It wants to keep you in a state of… Preparing for the next battle.

111

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, and really, in the beginning, we were talking about, you know, the general public and creating all of this chaos that exists in the world.

112

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And if we all could just own our own stuff, An experience today is good.

113

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: For all of us, this moment is just flying. We don't have to worry about what's going to happen later.

114

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I'm sorry, my dog decided to bark for a moment.

115

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I lost my train of thought.

116

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But just the… the dog is here. Heard something barked. Yeah. So dogs are great teachers of presence. Pets are a great…

117

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: feature of presence. They're not caught up in the story.

118

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: They're just not, they're just here. Like, play with me, feed me, take me outside.

119

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Love me, hold me.

120

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That's it.

121

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: There's a huge emphasis right now on nervous system regulation, neuroplasticity, rewiring, and doing the inner work. When do those practices generally help, and when can trying so hard to heal become just another form of fear monitoring and pressure?

122

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, because nervous system regulation, it's just more mind noise, trying to make sense of the dysfunction within the body.

123

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And I'm really not an entertainer of thoughts chasing more thoughts, trying to sort things out, because ultimately, healing isn't our job. And the mind is just distracting you with these words, this technology, these techniques.

124

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But there's a quieter, deeper wisdom within us. If we just let go of all these terms and all this heaviness.

125

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: We can just settle into ourself.

126

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And I really get into this, so we can get into what's performance healing versus real healing. Performance healing is listening to the experts.

127

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Doing the meditations because they recommend it, doing the fasting, the protocols, because it came from their recommendation. It didn't come from this deeper place. So we're checking off boxes, which is more of a performance.

128

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That real healing of sitting with herself is not pretty.

129

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's really hard to face our shadows ourself, and taking that responsibility for ourselves that…

130

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: My mind has led me astray. We don't judge, we don't criticize yourself, we just notice the mind has led us astray.

131

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: We come back into this moment, and we let the mind settle in.

132

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Then we just trust what arises for us. How do I move forward through this circumstantial, or this situation?

133

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That this wisdom within us isn't just confined to our physical and mental well-being, it's relationships, careers, finances.

134

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because it's connected to all that is. There's nothing to spirit that it does not know. It is one with all that is. But this mind is, oh, what about this? What about this? Chasing the next big thing.

135

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And, you know, performance healing photographs really well. It looks really, really like, oh, this is really dialed in, it's gonna produce results.

136

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But that was their path, it didn't come from your essence.

137

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Your essence knows your way forward, so we just need to be mindful

138

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And some of these books from these other well-known teachers, I can't read, because they're just too heavy, they're too much, too dogmatic, that you need to do this 3 times a day, you need to drink this, you need to take these supplements, and it's like, well, where is all this coming from?

139

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's their recipe, it's not your way, and it's not your map.

140

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: One of the blueprints… Blueprints are nice.

141

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: They show how something went together for someone.

142

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: not necessarily for you, but for someone. I think a lot of times, medicine gets kind of caught up in the protocols.

143

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Instead of individuals.

144

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And then they get you afraid of what's going to happen to you, or what could happen to you. I mean, you could die, or you could get better.

145

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But they only want to talk about, you could die, so you buy their stuff.

146

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, it just… just reminds me of a few things, like a blueprint. Yeah, you may get 70-80% recovery from that, but that last 10-20%,

147

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It might just need to come from you. And what reminds me, too, with this medicine protocols, I remember when I was in rehab for multiple sclerosis, that would literally be in physical therapy for 5-10 minutes, and they would say, oh, you must be tired.

148

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: We're gonna take you back to your room now so you can rest. They didn't ask me how they were… how I was feeling, how I was doing. They had this protocol, either it was… I forget whether it was either 5 minutes or 10 minutes of exercise. Then they sent the patient back to the room.

149

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, it's all money-driven, it's not… It's not.

150

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And it's just built up more fear.

151

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Ealing.

152

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: it just builds more fear, like, oh yeah, I can only do so much, so little, before I need to rest, and it starts to…

153

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Programming more of this head trash. We've added more and more stuff to this… to this landfill, and we need to get rid of all that trash and just be our authentic self.

154

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: When did you first realize… I know you were talking about this a little bit before, but that…

155

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That you could just… Heal.

156

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I, I'm…

157

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I know you said you had the feeling come over you, but when did it really occur to you that this is…

158

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: This is it.

159

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: it's different. Was it really fast, or was it over a period of time?

160

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: No, it was just… it was really that certainty of that night of hearing perfect spirit, reminding me who I was, a perfect spirit, your perfect spirit, everyone watching is perfect spirit. There's a deeper essence within us that is perfect, that is undisturbed by the human experience.

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's that night where I just knew all was well, then later I just had this unknown conviction.

162

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: that my health challenges were over. There was no logic behind it, there was no proof behind it, there was just a certain

163

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Knowing within me that's like, yes, your health challenges are over.

164

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And… but there was no evidence of that.

165

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I just accepted my health challenges were over. And that was the thing, a full acceptance that my health challenges were over.

166

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And the body will catch up. And Neville Goddard talks about this, but I wasn't doing his practices, because he does a lot of visualizations, and that was never part of my practice. His practice was living in the end state. And my end state was, my health challenges were over. So it's always this energy, this idea.

167

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: This consciousness first, then reality catches that. So that's what we said, if the mind's chaotic, the world's gonna be chaotic, because our intentions create reality.

168

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So, if the mind's messy, life is messy. So we set these intentions without proof.

169

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Without evidence, without validation, just trusting, I'm one with all that is.

170

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: This will become so. Ask, and it is given.

171

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But the mind grows impatient, like, hurry up, when's this going to happen?

172

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: what steps do I need to do? And the mind starts interfering, as opposed to just living in trust that I am perfect spirit, my health challenges are over, I'll do those things that feel right to me.

173

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I'm not looking for evidence, I'm not looking for proof.

174

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because, like I said when I first heard that, there was no evidence. I was still using the cane, it was still on the side of the wall, I was still taking my migraine medicine. All of this evidence was pointing that you're still very sick.

175

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But I'm like, when my health challenges are over, the body's doing what the body does.

176

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I know my health challenges are over. And that was it. I never had an insight that I could heal. There was none. I just… initially, it was this inner peace.

177

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But peace is naturally who we are.

178

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Did you just stop going to the doctors, or did you…

179

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: wean off these drugs? How did all of that play out for you?

180

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Well, I was still seeing my doctors, but they were giving me a hard time about weaning them off my medicine, so I just stopped seeing them.

181

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I just said they're not supporting me, so…

182

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I just had this burning trust within me that

183

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I know what's best for me.

184

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I don't recommend this, but, I mean, my doctors didn't support my theory, so I just went off on my own, and I went back to…

185

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I had 3 neurologists, so when all my health challenges were indeed over, and I was really healthy, I made one last appointment with the MS neurologist, because I had one for migraines, two for MS, so I did the MS neurologist, made an appointment with him. I was like, before I see him.

186

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I wanna go get the MRI done, the blood work, I'm gonna get all this stuff.

187

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Done, out of the way. So when I… so I walk into his office, he's looking at my chart, he's very puzzled.

188

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: My scans are clean, my blood work's nearly perfect.

189

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: He looks at me as…

190

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Then he does a physical exam, and he's like, all I see is a nonspecific hand tremor.

191

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I remember the last time I saw him, I was using my cane, I was probably 40, 50 pounds heavier. I mean, I looked like a really disabled, sick man. Now, here I come, and I…

192

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: 14 months later, it was about 14 months after I heard that voice, so I saw that doctor again.

193

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And here I am, a pillar of Hell, and he is completely puzzled by this. And that was his last appointment for the day, so he questioned me for 45 minutes, trying to quantify what I did. He had no explanation for it.

194

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But then I ran into Dr. Gabor Mate at a conference and was able to talk to him.

195

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: He's a physician that talks about this mind-body-spirit connection. He's really a well-known doctor. So I actually had a few minutes to talk to him, and I told him about my story that I had all these ailments, and I no longer have them. He asked me some questions, and he basically summed it up at the end, like, oh, you stopped taking your mind as a source of truth.

196

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Beautiful.

197

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But we're not taught this. We're taught to trust your thoughts, trust your opinions, because that's who you are. Who are you without your thoughts and your opinions?

198

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But when you stop?

199

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I'm taking this.

200

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: To have some authority over us, we're…

201

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: because when we're little, you need somebody to take care of you, otherwise you'll die. But that just keeps morphing, and instead of letting people grow up and have experiences and…

202

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And explore what they're here to explore, They're often railroaded into

203

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Listening to their thoughts, and listening to the thoughts of others that do become their thoughts. They're not even original thoughts a lot of times. It's other people telling them.

204

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: What they're thinking.

205

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Or what they should be thinking.

206

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Right, it's this generational. The way your parents raise you instill those beliefs and opinions that may not serve you now.

207

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And then they scare you if you don't follow that path.

208

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And the doctors are very good at that, too. That's why I stopped seeing them, because they were all in panic. You're stopping your medicines? Why are you doing that?

209

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I just don't need them now.

210

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's interesting, and this is not medical advice for anybody listening, but oftentimes when you start down the medicine path.

211

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: You get conflicting medicines, you get

212

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: doctors don't pay attention to what's happening to you on these medicines, and everybody's body reacts differently when you put foreign chemicals in it. It's just… that's how we are. And you're…

213

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Just as likely to have some…

214

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: experience with… because you're taking these drugs, then…

215

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: you might have experienced had you not done anything, and I had shoulder problems, and I had a ganglion cyst on my foot, and it was totally because I was really stressed out, and I was in a foreign environment for a period of time, and

216

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I came home, and I went to the doctor, and he was like, oh, you need to do all these tests, and, you know, it's just, like, thousands of dollars. And we pay out of pocket, because I…

217

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I'm not a fan of insurance. So anyway, he…

218

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I… I just went home, and I decided that I was gonna get some herbs, and mix my herbs up, and I put this concoction on my shoulder, and

219

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: every night for probably 4 or 6 weeks. My shoulder's totally fine now, and then I put castor oil on the cyst, and it…

220

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's totally fine, it drained, and…

221

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: My foot's totally fine. But it didn't require the doctors helping me, I just had to slow down and listen to what my body was telling me and what I innately knew would help me.

222

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, if we can all listen to that innate wisdom.

223

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: We would be a lot healthier. And most of our doctor visits are from stress.

224

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: There's a lot of research showing that most primary care visits are stress-related.

225

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because we're, once again, chasing that head trash.

226

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: that you get in there, and then they use equipment that isn't calibrated correctly. I can't tell you how many people I suspect are on blood pressure medicine that don't need to be on blood pressure medicine, but because their blood pressure was taken incorrectly, now they're down this path that leads to other

227

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Problems that they're gonna experience because they're taking this medication.

228

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's just, like… Damn, I won't say it.

229

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's a little crazy. I know some of the medicine that I was taking was for some side effects of the other medicine.

230

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: is taking medicine to get rid of side effects, but that… also, that medicine had its own set of side effects. It's a suspicious loop we get into.

231

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, and then instead of just looking at all the medicines and saying, well, this one you absolutely need because it's regulating this, and it's not going to cause this other problem.

232

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: maybe… maybe you take that. But for the most part, a lot of times it's just masking symptoms, but another… it's like whack-a-mole with medicine.

233

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, it's really hit and miss. They call it a medical practice because everybody's body reacts different to medicine. The medicine may be perfect for one, but it makes you very sick, so the doctors have to try different medicines. It's a practice, like, well, we're gonna try this medicine and see how you do with it.

234

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: If not, we'll go over to this medicine. So it's like they're… they're throwing darts, and they're trying to find something to give you a little relief.

235

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But when you could just lay down.

236

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Sometimes just laying down and closing your eyes and going to sleep if you can't shut your mind up.

237

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Or ignore your mind?

238

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: This is the best solution.

239

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But we're so busy, we have to be going all the time.

240

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, if we could just slow down, that's the hard thing for people to do, but there's been studies out there for just 60 seconds of presence a day over a month.

241

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: has shown…

242

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: improved blood work after a month. Just one minute of presence, because you're taking one minute of just reducing the stress.

243

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: At the beginning, I asked if healing isn't your job, whose job is it? After everything you've experienced, what actually does the healing, and what, if anything, is our job?

244

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Our job… well, it's that innate wisdom that we're talking about. That is our heel. We can call it our spirit, our soul, the aliveness of the body, the life force, whatever you want to call it, it's that innate wisdom. Our primary job is getting out of the way.

245

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Like you said.

246

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: the body can heal itself greatly when we sleep. That's why most of the repair work is done when we're sleeping at night, because the mind's not interfering, it's not creating all this stress, so it's really about just getting out of our own way. That's really what our job is, and then we can do things to really support that as well. Enjoy life.

247

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Just go be happy. Go do something you like enjoying. Because if you're enjoying life, you can't be anxious, you can't be stressed. If you're having fun.

248

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And when you're having fun, there's less stress hormones, the immune system does better, the body is healthier.

249

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So it's really about whatever we can do to cut stress and to have more fun, enjoyment in life, to just go laugh for no reason at all, is the best medicine, just to go enjoy life. But we're so caught up in the to-do list that we got someplace to be.

250

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That just to slow down, notice your surroundings, getting to this moment, and be in a place that is supportive to the body. And that supportive state is less stress, so go have fun, go find something you enjoy. And that's really hard to do when you're in pain, you're suffering.

251

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Well, then you have to find those little nuggets. It could be a warm cup of coffee, hearing your favorite song on the radio, reading somebody that you enjoy reading, you know?

252

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Playing with your dog, your kids, doing something to bring a little moment of joy.

253

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Just to… just to snap that little stress, because when you're in pain, it is very hard to get yourself into this moment.

254

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because your mind's so focused on what's going wrong with the body, and that focus on what's going wrong amplifies that, so it makes it more sticky.

255

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: If we can just go bring in that joy or see the good in this moment, that makes a huge change.

256

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I think our brain is so powerful, too. I know, like, amputees, they can still feel

257

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: the limb. And there's times when you may have an injury.

258

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That you've… you've allowed your mind to work so hard at the… at accepting that you're in pain, that even though the injury is healed.

259

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That pain will still send you messages, you'll still be getting messages in your brain.

260

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: That there is no pain. It's phantom.

261

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But your… your brain, your mind is, like, Telling you it's still there.

262

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And…

263

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: there's a mechanism for… for releasing it, but it has to do with what you're talking about. It's just, our minds are so freaking powerful that if we believe them.

264

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It can wreak havoc on our bodies.

265

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, it's really powerful when we get the mind, when I'm sitting with people and get the mind to relax. I can take somebody from an 8-level pain down to a 3 or 4.

266

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And both their mind isn't taking care of this head trash?

267

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: The next day, it will be back. You might say, oh, something is stiffing here, let's bring that back. That was familiar. So you took their pain away, you might say, oh, where'd your pain go? Let's bring that back. So we need to keep releasing the head trash so that pain will eventually dissolve and may not be there eventually. It may just go away.

268

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But the mind likes the familiar.

269

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: When I say mind doesn't care if you're in pain, you're suffering, life is a mess, it's familiar. Let's keep it. Going a new way is scary to the mind, it's an unknown. The mind deals with the familiar, it's part of the survival mechanism.

270

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yes, it's painful, it's difficult, but you're living. You're surviving. This is good. We don't know what's behind this other door. It's unknown. We don't know if you're gonna survive that.

271

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: We know you're going to survive that current situation, so let's stick with it.

272

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: So your book's coming out tomorrow.

273

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yes.

274

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Tell us about it.

275

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, my third book, I have it here. It's pretty substantial. It's 300 pages here in print. Healing Isn't Your Job.

276

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And that's really what it gets down to, and all these different elements of these mind games that we play.

277

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: You know, we gotta stop fighting our thoughts, stop fighting the body, and some of the things that we do that we're not even aware of, like performance healing, just checking a box, but it didn't come from us. And a big word in our society is overcoming.

278

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But it's not your job to overcome, because your body knows exactly, and overcoming is just a fight in a different disguise. It's about deep relaxation.

279

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And just allowing that innate wisdom to come through.

280

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And I try to keep it very plain, simple language, so I don't have all this medical jargon in there, all this spiritual jargon.

281

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because… Get into the spiritual bypassing, too, because yes, we are a perfect spirit.

282

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And so people will say in the spiritual space that, oh, all is well, you're a perfect spirit, and deny the human experience. We want to say the pain is real, and yes, you are a perfect spirit. They both exist at the same time.

283

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And once we allow that deeper essence within us to lead the way, maybe that pain will dissolve and go away, or that ailment

284

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: If we allow that innate wisdom within us to lead the way, instead of the mind poking its fingers in, trying to figure things out, looking for an answer outside of itself, instead of going within first.

285

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And really just learning to just trust ourself.

286

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And so, people can find you over at school?

287

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, on school, the Inner Healer School is my community, and the Inner Healer is that innate wisdom within us. So when I say healing, is it your job? It's not your mind's job.

288

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Your body innately knows how to heal itself. You just gotta get the mind out of the way from stop poking its fingers into it, stop bringing the state of disharmony, dis-ease into the body, when we just relax and just realize the mind's just a noisemaker. It's like the weather. Perfect spirit is the sky.

289

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Storms will roll through, hurricanes will roll through, tornadoes will roll through, the sky's still unchanged.

290

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: So we just have to see that we are the sky itself, and yes, that hurricane is real, and there's ways to deal with that hurricane without letting it define you or sabotage your life.

291

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Interesting.

292

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: metaphor, in that… Destruction comes, but…

293

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Then there's the cleanup, and then things can be renewed, sometimes even better than before it started. But it's always going to be different. Nothing is, like.

294

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: We as humans like things to be always and never.

295

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And… I think healing goes that way, too. It's like…

296

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I'm always gonna be in this state that I'm in right now. I'm in all this pain, and it's gonna be forever!

297

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: When, in reality, It might be for 5 or 10 minutes.

298

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It may be for longer than that.

299

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It could be for years, but it can go away. It doesn't…

300

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: to stay there forever. It doesn't have to be the… The point of existence forever.

301

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, that's the thing, we don't know exactly how long that pain will stay, but the more we can relax, allow the body to do what it does best.

302

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: then perhaps that pain will drift away someday. But the thing we have to be mindful of, if you keep attaching to this pain, you say, you shouldn't be here and demanding it to go away. That actually makes it sticky and causes it to stay in place.

303

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because you're giving that mind attention, the mind has power. It's like, oh, you keep paying attention to this pain, so I guess you like it, so let's keep it here. As opposed to…

304

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: You let the pain…

305

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: say, okay, well, there's a story with the Buddhists, you know, these two arrows. The first arrow is the pain, the second arrow is the story about the pain.

306

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: we can remove the second arrow. The first arrow

307

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: May dissolve by itself, that the body just can allow to do what it does, which is the healing.

308

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And it's just about relaxing and slowing it down. And that's one of my greatest blessings, was I never had a spiritual teacher.

309

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Nobody's filling up with information to go do this, to go do this, to go do this other thing. And what I really remind people in the community as well is that I don't live in your body. Only you know what is best for you. I can give you some ideas and suggestions, but ultimately, it's you. And that's the hardest thing for people to accept, that it's them.

310

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because we're so taught that it's somebody else's job to fix our issues.

311

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But ultimately, it has to start and end with us.

312

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Yeah, personal responsibility isn't something that we're… we're taught a lot, because it's hard to control people who take personal responsibility for their lives.

313

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah. They want you to be…

314

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: They want you leaning into them. That's just the way society is built right now. They want the doctors, the medical system, they want you to be dependent.

315

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because once you are standing in your own power.

316

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: then you can't be controlled. You make a good point, yeah.

317

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because otherwise, they're tapping into your head trash.

318

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's like, oh, you need this, you need this, and they're just feeding more head trash, but when you stand in your own authority, they can't control you.

319

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: It's really that way for all of life, too. If you're… If you live in fear.

320

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Fear is just listening to the head trash and allowing it to have an impact on you.

321

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: then… It doesn't matter what the present moment brings.

322

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Or how it exists.

323

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: like… We can label things.

324

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: But do they really matter?

325

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I mean, just because there's a label to it that has a negative connotation.

326

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Does it really exist in like that for you, personally?

327

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Isn't it enough that you're breathing?

328

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: that you're… Having a moment, an experience right now.

329

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, that's really it. If you're alive and breathing, then all things are possible.

330

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Because from that point of present moment, all things are possible. I've witnessed many miraculous transformations, people just being in this moment, watching the pain go from extreme levels to just gone, and moments when

331

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: when the head trash wasn't defined, the mind may try to bring it back tomorrow, but if you can catch, like, nope, we're not going back to that old body, we're not going back to the old way, we're staying present, we're going forward, creating the life that we wish to create.

332

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Love that.

333

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: So, you're also on Substack, and I'm…

334

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: everybody knows I'm a big fan of Substack, so…

335

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: I don't… today, in this moment, it might not be as developed as it might be in the future.

336

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Yeah, I need to do more with Substack. Well, I'm in your community. When the dust settles a little bit, I'll dive into your classroom and get that structured properly, so I do create lots of resources, lots of videos, lots of things for you.

337

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: To help standing their own power, no matter what they're facing.

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And Dr. Dwayne Dwyer always talked about this, there's always a spiritual solution.

339

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That spiritual solution is our innate wisdom connected to all that is, that nothing is impossible, only from the level of mind.

340

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Not from this deeper innate wisdom connected to all that is.

341

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Nothing is impossible, so we just slow down, pause, go enjoy life, allow spirit to do what it does best, and…

342

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: you know, create that life that you want, but it's not about adding more stuff. My whole book…

343

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It's really about subtracting, pulling things out, like, well, where did this come from? Does it really support you? Where did this come from? Does it support you? You know, let's… let's start subtracting more things. Most books on the shelf and the healing space are adding more things for you to do.

344

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: I'm trying to peel away things. My whole book is about subtracting. Like, what are you adding to that head trash?

345

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: You know, and there's different levels of head trash, you know, this generational that we talked about that isn't usually addressed. You know, these… these original wounds that we pick up as a young child that we carry throughout our life. You know, there's different flavors of that, so it's all about…

346

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: subtracting all these things from our life and presenting a story of how you can subtract all these things and not add more things. You're not going to find in there

347

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: that you need to do this fast 10 times a day, you're not gonna find, take all these supplements. I mean, there's some really rigid protocols out there, and like.

348

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: It may be helpful to a certain point. It may get you 70-80% there, as we mentioned before, somebody else's blueprint.

349

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: But that last 10%, 20%, That has to come from you.

350

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And you have to walk those final steps.

351

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Or it can't stick. It's like… It's hard for people to… To really change

352

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: If they're still hanging on to… The way it was.

353

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: And you… it's really hard to not hang on to the way it was when you're following somebody else's protocol.

354

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: Because you're not really sure, and there's nothing inside of you saying, yep, this feels right to me.

355

::

Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist: You're just trying to depend on this thing that may or may not actually get you the results that you're hoping for.

356

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: Right, we'll get you part of the way, but won't get you the full way. The full way comes from you, the real you, not this mental you.

357

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: And that's…

358

::

Baba Sam - Inner Healer School: That's her battle, you know, the mind constantly all demanding, and it's very convincing that this is the absolute way for you. It's like, no, Spirit wants you to go the opposite direction.
