Make Affirmations Work For you

I let go of what I can’t change and make the best of what I can

reframe that affirmation to a question:

Why am I so good at letting go of what I can’t change and doing my best at what I can?

Or here is one about attracting money:

I am grateful for the wealth I am receiving

Reframed to:

Why does money flow to me so abundantly and without effort from me?

Why Reframe Affirmations?

The reasoning (and science) behind affirmations is that it changes your brain chemistry. By asking your mind questions it causes your brain/mind to try and solve that problem subconsciously.

Your brain processes a significant amount of information every single second. So, it takes everything you think and say literally.

And when it does so, it takes the information and prepares you for the action that should immediately follow the thought — be it your emotions, behaviors, or even your physical well-being. That’s why it’s important to remember that your affirmations should be in the present tense, not the past or future.

For example, if you think to yourself, “I’m going to have an amazing time on my date this weekend,” your brain essentially hears “amazing date” and starts firing off all the connections to prepare you for this amazing date to ensure its amazingness – mentally organizing which clothes you’ll wear, what you’ll say, how it will feel, etc.

Remembering Your Affirmations

A secret to make affirmations work – write them with dry erase marker on your mirrors and glass around the house. This works especially well in the bathroom. You are going to look at the mirror several times a day. And the most important times of the day – first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

How to Make Affirmations Work Effectively

Affirmations are positive statements that can help you improve your confidence, motivation, and overall well-being. To make affirmations work effectively, there are a few key things to keep in mind:

  1. 1. Make your affirmations specific and personal: Rather than using generic affirmations, try to create affirmations that are specific to your goals and beliefs. For example, instead of saying “I am successful,” you could say “I am confident in my ability to succeed in my career.”
  2. 2. Make your affirmations present tense: Using present tense affirmations can help you internalize the belief that the affirmation represents. For example, instead of saying “I will be successful,” you could say “I am successful.”
  3. 3. Use positive language: Avoid using negative words in your affirmations, as they can have the opposite effect. For example, instead of saying “I am not a failure,” you could say “I am capable and successful.”
  4. 4. Repeat your affirmations regularly: Repetition is key to making affirmations effective. Try to repeat your affirmations a few times a day, either out loud or to yourself.
  5. 5. Believe in your affirmations: The most important aspect of making affirmations work is believing in what you are saying. While it may be difficult at first, try to truly believe in your affirmations and let them guide your thoughts and actions.

Overall, using affirmations can be a powerful tool for improving your mindset and manifesting positive change in your life. By following these tips and being consistent in your practice, you can make affirmations work effectively for you.

Why Is Forming Affirmations as a Question so Effective?

Forming affirmations as questions can be effective because it helps to engage the critical thinking part of your brain and encourages you to consider the possibility of the affirmation being true. This can help to make the affirmation feel more realistic and believable.

For example, if you are trying to overcome a fear of public speaking, you could use the affirmation “Why am I confident and successful when speaking in public?” This affirmation encourages you to think about the reasons why you might be confident and successful in this situation, which can help to build your belief in your own abilities.

Another benefit of forming affirmations as questions is that it can help to clarify your goals and desires. By asking yourself “Why do I deserve to be happy and fulfilled?” you can get a better understanding of what happiness and fulfillment mean to you, and what you need to do to achieve them.

Overall, forming affirmations as questions can be a powerful way to engage your mind and strengthen your belief in the affirmations you are using.
