Nikki Novoselsky Your Spiritual Life Coach + Career Coach + Self Love Coach All in One
In this episode of the You World Order Showcase Podcast, host Jill Hart dives into an inspiring conversation with Nikki Novoselsky, a spiritual life coach, career coach, and self-love advocate. Nikki shares her personal journey from feeling lost and unfulfilled in a corporate role to discovering true alignment and joy through mindfulness and energy healing. Her mission today is to help others find their own path to a life of purpose and fulfillment. If you’ve ever felt stuck or sensed that there’s something more for you, Nikki’s story is a powerful reminder that change is possible.
From Dream Job to Disillusionment
Nikki’s journey began in what seemed like an ideal life on paper. She had the coveted job in downtown Chicago, a beautiful apartment, close friends, and family nearby. Despite achieving what she thought would bring her happiness, she found herself feeling miserable and disconnected. The reality of her corporate life didn’t align with her authentic self. Nikki describes feeling like she had to wear a mask—playing a role that didn’t fit her vibrant, quirky personality.
Her struggle was a feeling that many people can relate to: reaching a long-desired milestone only to realize it doesn’t bring the fulfillment we expected. As Nikki reflects, it was as though she had worked so hard to open a gift, only to find it empty. This sense of disillusionment became a catalyst for a major life change.
The Decision to Break Free and Rediscover Herself
Determined to break free from the monotony of a life that didn’t feel authentic, Nikki made the bold decision to quit her job, book a one-way ticket, and head to Bali, Indonesia. There, she immersed herself in the study of yoga, mindfulness, and energy healing. Her time in Bali was transformative, allowing her to reconnect with her true self and begin to understand what genuine happiness and alignment looked like.
As Nikki describes, this journey helped her shed the negativity she had internalized over years of striving to meet societal expectations. For the first time, she began to like who she was and to embrace her own unique energy. Her travels and studies became a time of deep self-discovery, opening her eyes to the idea that she could shape her own life and change her mindset.
The Power of Inner Work and Energy Healing
Through her experiences, Nikki realized that true fulfillment wasn’t about achieving a particular job title or paycheck—it was about creating alignment within. She noticed a pattern in her thoughts, which were often filled with self-doubt and harsh self-criticism. This shift led her to understand the role of energy and mindset in achieving contentment and purpose. Instead of constantly striving for external validation, she began focusing on inner healing and shifting her thoughts to support a more positive outlook.
Nikki learned from various spiritual mentors and energy healers, discovering practices that allowed her to replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones. She felt a calling to share these transformative tools with others, especially those who might feel trapped in cycles of self-doubt or negativity.
Bringing Bali’s Lessons Back to the Corporate World
After her journey abroad, Nikki returned to Chicago, but with a completely different perspective. The practices she had learned became the foundation of her new approach to life, enabling her to bring joy, balance, and alignment into her everyday routine. She realized that anyone could incorporate mindfulness and energy healing into their lives, regardless of where they live or work.
Nikki’s experience underscores an important lesson: lasting change doesn’t always mean leaving everything behind. Sometimes, small shifts can create meaningful differences in our day-to-day lives. For Nikki, learning to bring mindfulness, gratitude, and self-compassion into her routines helped her find peace and joy, even within familiar surroundings.
Breaking Out of the Comfort Zone
Nikki shares that many of her clients face a similar struggle: they feel unfulfilled in their current situations but aren’t quite at rock bottom. Often, this “in-between” state—where life is tolerable but uninspiring—can be the hardest place to enact change. Nikki calls this phase the “try life crisis,” a period where people question their path but may feel uncertain about making a shift.
For Nikki, the journey to a fulfilling life involves stepping out of comfort zones and examining cycles that keep us feeling stuck. By becoming aware of the stories we tell ourselves and breaking free from habitual thoughts and behaviors, we open ourselves up to new possibilities.
The Mind-Body Connection: Healing from Within
A key part of Nikki’s coaching involves the mind-body connection. She explains how our thoughts create physical responses in our bodies, from digestive issues to stress symptoms. Her journey with energy healing has shown her that emotional and physical well-being are deeply intertwined. When we store negative emotions or beliefs, it affects our overall health. Releasing this stored energy can be transformative, helping us feel lighter, more connected, and at peace.
Nikki shares that for her, and many of her clients, understanding this mind-body connection was life-changing. Learning to tune into our bodies, listen to our intuition, and release energy blocks allows us to live more freely and authentically.
Choosing Happiness: A Daily Practice
One of the most powerful insights Nikki shares is the concept of choosing happiness. She reminds us that happiness isn’t a destination or a reward for achieving specific goals—it’s a daily choice. By cultivating gratitude, being present, and engaging in mindfulness, we can create a fulfilling life regardless of external circumstances. Nikki believes that a supportive community, whether a coach, friends, or mentors, can be instrumental in helping us stay on this path of growth and self-discovery.
Who Nikki Works With: The Try Life Crisis
Nikki’s ideal clients are people who feel stuck but aren’t ready to settle. They’re often in their late twenties to early forties and are beginning to question whether the lives they’ve built truly align with who they are. Nikki helps them navigate this “try life crisis,” guiding them through a process of self-discovery and helping them uncover what really brings them joy and fulfillment.
Many of her clients seek to break free from cycles of monotony, burnout, or dissatisfaction. They may want to change careers, improve their relationships, or simply reconnect with their authentic selves. Nikki provides them with tools to clarify their desires and begin to create a life that reflects their true values and aspirations.
Building a Life of Purpose and Fulfillment
Through her coaching practice, Nikki empowers clients to shift their perspectives, break out of old cycles, and pursue a life of alignment. She helps them see that fulfillment doesn’t come from checking off a list of societal expectations but from within. When we do the inner work, release limiting beliefs, and reconnect with our authentic selves, we can live a life that feels rich, vibrant, and truly aligned with who we are.
In Nikki’s words, “You’re never stuck, and there’s always a way to create the life you want.” Her journey is a reminder that transformation is possible for anyone willing to do the work, embrace change, and prioritize their well-being.

Her passion is for helping people find their light in their jobs, business, and themselves welcome to the show, Nikki. It's really great to have you here.
3
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah, thank you for having me here. Yeah. The the last name's a hard one. A lot of my friends. Just say, Nobo, Nicky Nobo.
4
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Nobo. I like that. It's short and easy.
5
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: So tell us, Nikki, what is your story? How did you get to where you're at?
6
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: We want to know.
7
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah. So I was about now. 5 years ago I was working corporate in Chicago downtown Chicago, and that was kind of the pinnacle of everything I'd ever wanted or thought I'd wanted. You know, you go to school. And then everyone tells you, yeah, you'll have this big career. And so that's what I was chasing, and I had everything I had ever wanted. I had a beautiful apartment
8
::Nikki Novoselsky: downtown Chicago. I was living with some of my best friends. I had my sister near me. I had great relationships, good job.
9
::Nikki Novoselsky: and still I was like, why am I miserable and unhappy? And I just remember being like.
10
::Nikki Novoselsky: I felt scammed. I felt duped. I was like, wait, this is everything I had been waiting for and wanting. Yet I'm finally here, and it's not what I wanted at all.
11
::Nikki Novoselsky: and I just remember being like, I can't do this for the rest of my life. How do people do this? I feel so disconnected from myself, from my body. I was really hard on myself trying to look a certain way, be a certain way, and when I was working in my job. I felt like I had to wear a mask.
12
::Nikki Novoselsky: I'm a very fun, outgoing, extroverted, quirky person, and I felt like I had to talk a certain way and interact in a certain way. And I was like this, just really isn't aligned. This isn't for me. And I had studied abroad when I was in college, and I was like I loved traveling. Something about it just looked me up. I was like, you know what? I'm going to quit my job, and I'm going to just travel for a year and see what happens.
13
::Nikki Novoselsky: So I quit, and I studied Yoga and mindfulness and energy healing in Bali, Indonesia, with a 1 way ticket.
14
::Nikki Novoselsky: And what unraveled was just this
15
::Nikki Novoselsky: explosion of new ideas of new perspectives. I finally saw myself in a way where I was like, I actually really like myself.
16
::Nikki Novoselsky: And I like who I'm becoming. And I like this version of me. And realizing, wow! I don't have to be a corporate cog in something that I don't want to do. I can create the life that I want. I can change the thoughts that I have in my head. When I was working in corporate I was very negative. 95 of my thoughts were, you're not good enough. You're not pretty enough, skinny enough this enough that enough. And I realized, Okay.
17
::Nikki Novoselsky: who who is that voice? And can I change that voice and actually be more content in my everyday life. And so, as I was going through that and through this process, and learning from different spiritual mentors and energy healers.
18
::Nikki Novoselsky: I got really passionate and like. I wish more people know about this, because I myself had gotten stuck in such a low energy, and I felt like I couldn't get out. I felt like I was stuck there forever, and I remember looking around me in Chicago.
19
::Nikki Novoselsky: and a lot of people felt this way, and I was like, How can I share this information to help them feel like they don't have to stay stuck in that forever. So this is my mission is to help people that know that there's a little bit more, and they want something more for themselves, but they don't necessarily know how to get it.
20
::Nikki Novoselsky: and I like to be that bridge to help them realize what it is they want to be doing and go on a path that feels more aligned and more fulfilling.
21
::Nikki Novoselsky: So that's my story, in a little more than a nutshell. But.
22
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: A couple of things came to mind when you were talking, and one of them was that
23
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: we? It's like
24
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: you're all hyped up for a gift that you're going to be given
25
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: in terms of your career, and you open the package, and you're really disappointed because it's not what you'd hoped for. You have these ideals in your head about what's gonna look like and how it's gonna feel. And it it just doesn't. It's like it's empty. Where's this thing that I've been waiting for all my life and working so hard and investing all my resources into? You know time, men, energy as well as financial.
26
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And you just like
27
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: you get there. And you're like, oh.
28
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: that wasn't what I expected. Such a letdown.
29
::Nikki Novoselsky: Time for the.
30
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And solid.
31
::Nikki Novoselsky: Time.
32
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah.
33
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And the other. The other point
34
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: that I would that I that it heard to me is when you're working in an office or in a corporate world like that. You're really disconnected from nature and
35
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: going to Bali. I think
36
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Indonesia in particular. Everybody lives really close to
37
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: the earth.
38
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: It they're not in these big corporate
39
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: buildings, and you know I when I was young I worked in an office, and there was one summer I did not see the sun at all.
40
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I lived in San Diego and didn't see the sun at all. I was getting to work before the sun came out. There were no windows in my office.
41
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and I went home after dark
42
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: was like.
43
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and people live like that.
44
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: They oh, yeah.
45
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And I think your your mission is to help help them escape.
46
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: tie those shackles.
47
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah, and it's that. But I'm also a big believer in that. You can stay exactly where you are in the same job that you're in. But if you just tweak a couple of things
48
::Nikki Novoselsky: in your life
49
::Nikki Novoselsky: that that will exponentially help you feel more fulfilled, too, cause I've had a lot of people be like, Okay, yeah. But follies, rainbows and butterflies. Of course you're gonna feel happier there.
50
::Nikki Novoselsky: Which is true. I was like, that is a fair point. But I've been traveling a lot. And now I'm back in Chicago at the moment, and it has been okay. Well, how do I take the tools and techniques and mindfulness and energy healing tools that I've learned and bring it back to my everyday life here that, you know, sometimes probably did feel like a dream world. But I always say, wherever you go, there you are. You're you're with your mind and your thoughts. And so it is
51
::Nikki Novoselsky: important for me to remember that
52
::Nikki Novoselsky: it's implementing these tools, whether you're in a job that maybe you don't really like. How can you make it a little bit better. And how can you start to shift and find something that really does resonate with you? And I love what you talked about of that. It's like a gift that you open up and you're like, Wait, what's happening.
53
::Nikki Novoselsky: And I talk about this a lot because I feel like
54
::Nikki Novoselsky: we are always looking towards the next thing. And I remember this was my biggest thing I'd be like in my job. And I'd be like, Okay, but once this events over, because I worked in events, doing corporate events and trade shows. And I was like, Okay, well, once this events over, then I'll be happy, or once I find a partner. Then I'll be happy. Once I'm making X amount of money, then I'll be happy, and I got promoted. I had like a
55
::Nikki Novoselsky: crazy promotion of that they were like. Normally, we don't do this to someone in a year, but you know you've been doing so well. Blah blah and I got that promotion, and I like
56
::Nikki Novoselsky: thought I was going to be happy, and I still wasn't. And I'm like, so what does it take? And I was so confused I'm like, how come I'm tricking myself into believing that these things will make me happy. But they're not. And so it's been such an exploration to be like, well, what does, what things do make you happy? And I've learned that it's not necessarily things
57
::Nikki Novoselsky: mindfulness, tools. It's becoming more aware of your surroundings, of your body, changing the thoughts in your mind to be more present. Things like that that has been really interesting on this journey to be like. Oh, it's not.
58
::Nikki Novoselsky: Of course, money is nice, but it's not once my sister. She's amazing. And when I was going through this, I was like, Okay, but once I'm making 6 figures. I'm going to be happy. And she's like, Okay, but once you're making 6 figures, you're going to want 7,
59
::Nikki Novoselsky: you know. And it's just this constant
60
::Nikki Novoselsky: hamster wheel, striving, striving, striving, and I have always been asking my question. Well, when does it end? And I think the answer is, you get to choose, of course. Yes, we want to be striving towards goals, but you get to choose if you're struggling towards them and stressed about them, or if you're going there on a journey that feels exciting and more aligned.
61
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I think you made a very huge point there that you kind of glossed over, and that it is a choice. Happiness is a choice. It's a choice you make every day to choose to be happy, choose to be miserable, and your brain will look for ways to confirm your thoughts.
62
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and there are a lot of tools out there that you can help. People train their thoughts cause it's it's not.
63
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: It's simple.
64
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: but it's not easy.
65
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: It.
66
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah.
67
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: It takes somebody to help you and show you the way to like.
68
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: There's strategies involved in it. It's
69
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and it's it's really
70
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: habit that you? You do need a coach, for you know people that are are going to the gym and going to become bodybuilders. They don't just go to the gym and show up. And and then suddenly, they're bodybuilders. They hire people, they study, they research, they do the work
71
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: to get the result that they want if you want happiness.
72
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Yes, it's a choice. But there are things that you
73
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: processes that I think someone like you help people walk through in order to
74
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: see how they can be happy.
75
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: though not having achieved the goals that they think they want to achieve. And it also helps you, you know. Look at. Look at your goals, too, wouldn't you say.
76
::Nikki Novoselsky: For sure, and I think you make a good point. It's a choice, but it doesn't mean that it's necessarily easy, because
77
::Nikki Novoselsky: sometimes when we're stuck in our own cycles, that's all that we know.
78
::Nikki Novoselsky: And so to get out of that, you're like, well, how do I even get there? And you don't know the route. It's almost like trying to navigate it with your eyes closed without a map, and having someone show you this map of how to get out and show you that there's a road, and that it's possible is really helpful. Because
79
::Nikki Novoselsky: my misery.
80
::Nikki Novoselsky: yeah, for sure, because I was surrounded by people who were just skating by, too, and I didn't have that
81
::Nikki Novoselsky: inspiration to be like. Oh, well, what what more is there?
82
::Nikki Novoselsky: But yeah, remember, I was deep in my misery.
83
::Nikki Novoselsky: and people would say that to me. And there's all these platitudes, and I was doing meditation. I was doing yoga. I was doing gratitude journals. I was doing all the things I was in therapy, and I was like, Why aren't any of these things working? And I had a friend who was like, Yeah, happy. This is the choice. And I'm like, I'm trying. And I would get so frustrated because I'm like, I feel like I'm trying. But why can't I get there? And so it's fascinating. I've realized that
84
::Nikki Novoselsky: we can listen to all the things and people can listen to these podcasts and consume it and consume the books and the self-help videos and all these things. But until you really do the deep work with someone who's done it
85
::Nikki Novoselsky: and can walk you through it, and you have that awareness of what's actually making you miserable, and why you're clinging to the comfort zone, and why you're stuck in the cycle and how to break the cycle. Then it becomes easier to move and shift and make that choice. I think it starts with the choice of
86
::Nikki Novoselsky: choosing to change.
87
::Nikki Novoselsky: I call it the dark night of the soul. Glennon Doyle talks about it, so does the holistic psychologist of Doctor Nicola Para. The dark night of the soul can be. It was me crying on my bathroom floor, being like, I can't do this anymore. And in that moment you're like this sucks.
88
::Nikki Novoselsky: What am I gonna do? But also that moment is so beautiful, because in that moment you're deciding this, is it. I can't live like this anymore. And then you decide to make a change.
89
::Nikki Novoselsky: I think a lot of people live in this zone where they don't quite hit that dark night of the soul. They don't quite hit rock bottom. So they're just like finding comfort in this area, and it like doesn't feel great. But it's not bad enough
90
::Nikki Novoselsky: to shift and change. And that's where a lot of people live. And my goal is like, if you don't want to live, you don't have to show you that you don't have to. That doesn't have to be the baseline. We can shift and change it so that your baseline is feeling happier and fulfilled, and more content and more peaceful.
91
::Nikki Novoselsky: I I can talk about this forever, but I have a client who I'm working with, and he was like.
92
::Nikki Novoselsky: this is the 1st time I've felt peace and feel fulfilled in my life.
93
::Nikki Novoselsky: He was like, this feels weird.
94
::Nikki Novoselsky: done good. Once you're
95
::Nikki Novoselsky: move out of that comfort zone and you feel happy, and you feel fulfilled and you feel content. You're like
96
::Nikki Novoselsky: this is not normal. What is going on because our brains are wired to keep us in our survival mode, and so, going against that autopilot of
97
::Nikki Novoselsky: trying to protect us, can feel bizarre.
98
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And it's easy to slide back into it. Not even realize that you're sliding back into it. I mean, you can. You can move into
99
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: the happy zone.
100
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: We'll call it that. But if you don't have a community around you.
101
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: even if it's just one person to kind of help you stay there, and
102
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: it's like muscle. Memory
103
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: brain has some muscle memory
104
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: about
105
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: what it is to be in
106
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: in the comfort zone that it's used to. And when you start pushing it
107
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and challenging it to be in a different space, unless you have others that are kind of are in that space, too, that can say, Yeah, it's okay. You're safe over here. And until that becomes a new muscle memory for your brain and your emotions.
108
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: you'll you'll keep
109
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: falling back into it.
110
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Yeah.
111
::Nikki Novoselsky: And make an addiction.
112
::Nikki Novoselsky: You make a very good point, because
113
::Nikki Novoselsky: I try to be very careful when I say it's not a 1 and done. It's not like, yeah. I went to Bali, and I'm healed, and I'm happy and everything right now. It's a constant cycle. It's a continuous every single day. I have to work on it, and I fall back. I falter. I'm human, it just.
114
::Nikki Novoselsky: It's a different. It's a different feeling cause. Now I'm like
115
::Nikki Novoselsky: they always say new levels, new devils is like, Okay, you work on something. And then you get to another point. And you're like, why is this coming up again, because it's coming up in a different way for you to heal it in a different way. So it's
116
::Nikki Novoselsky: it's never done. It's continuous work, and it's exactly what you're saying. It's like, it's checking in with yourself all the time. And being like, Okay, now that I've chosen this path, do I continue to choose this path. And who do I want to surround myself with? And where do I want to be? And especially as someone who's continuously traveling as a little wandering soul that I am. I'm always checking in with myself and being like all right.
117
::Nikki Novoselsky: What community do I want to be in? Where do I want to travel to? What? How is my business going and always checking in with myself? Because it's never like a cure one time. Cure. That's it. Okay, you're healed by. It's giving you the tools to use them. So when stuff comes up, you can work through it because stuff is always going to come up.
118
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And being able to know how to recognize things like you're talking about checking in with your body.
119
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: We say that like it's no big deal, but for some people
120
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: it's life changing. I had no idea that, hey? I can check in with my body.
121
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I actually have a body that's attached to my head, where all my thinking happens instead of you know. Sometimes you just need to sink into your heart and and see how your heart's feeling or your gut.
122
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I just like that. Taking this.
123
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I just sit with it.
124
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: But people don't know how to do that.
125
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: They think everything happens up here, and you know
126
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: everything else is just to keep that running.
127
::Nikki Novoselsky: Oh, yeah, I was so disconnected from my body. I remember the therapist saying to me, Okay, we're gonna tune in with your body. I'm like.
128
::Nikki Novoselsky: She's like, what sensations you feel. I'm like.
129
::Nikki Novoselsky: I don't know.
130
::Nikki Novoselsky: What do you want me to tell you like I I have no idea. What do you that feels weird? What am I supposed to say to you? I have no clue. And so I think it's
131
::Nikki Novoselsky: people say this all the time in the spiritual world of like tune into your intuition, tune into your body, I say it.
132
::Nikki Novoselsky: And then I think some people are just like.
133
::Nikki Novoselsky: what does that even mean, what am I supposed to feel?
134
::Nikki Novoselsky: And I was so blocked? I had horrible digestive problems.
135
::Nikki Novoselsky: probably a majority of my life.
136
::Nikki Novoselsky: and
137
::Nikki Novoselsky: I just remember, after eating every meal I would feel very sick, and I'm like what is going on. I went to doctor, and they were like, just take a laxative every night. I'm like what
138
::Nikki Novoselsky: that's no secure me.
139
::Nikki Novoselsky: And I remember going to Bali, and after doing all of this work and doing the Yoga, I actually had horrible digestive problems during my Yoga training, too. And it was this whole journey of figuring out what is going on in my body.
140
::Nikki Novoselsky: And I also remember a doctor asking me, Well, are you stressed like a lot of times, stress impacts, digestive problems. And I remember being like, No, I'm not stressed. I thought it was.
141
::Nikki Novoselsky: And then going to Bali doing all this work. I was like, Holy Moly. Okay, maybe I was stressed. Maybe I had all of this going on, and I did a lot to work on getting rid of all that. Now I don't have many issues for the most part, and I can tune in to really feel into it. But I really resonate with that, because for years I was so disconnected it was almost like my mind and body were so separate.
142
::Nikki Novoselsky: and I would force my body to do things that maybe didn't want to do of like working out hard 7 days a week, or whatever that was. And now it's this
143
::Nikki Novoselsky: more mutual relationship of what's going on in there. And how are you feeling? And how do you want to move today, and that's the beauty of Yoga is you get to flow and express yourself creatively. But
144
::Nikki Novoselsky: tuning into the body I feel like can be so hard because
145
::Nikki Novoselsky: we're not taught that we're taught. Just think everything through power through. There's a lot of trainers that are like
146
::Nikki Novoselsky: push yourself. And sometimes the body doesn't want that. And so how do you know how to move through the world within the body? How do you know what's there? What's stored there? So it's a really interesting thing, and it's an it's a practice, too, I think, as you do.
147
::Nikki Novoselsky: Mindset work
148
::Nikki Novoselsky: also comes the work with the body, and that's why I combine the 2 of doing mindset work, but also doing a lot of energy healing because we store energy from our surroundings, from our relationship, from our situations that we've been in, and we can store that in the body. And so a lot of the work that I love doing is
149
::Nikki Novoselsky: going in and doing like an energetic checkup.
150
::Nikki Novoselsky: What's going on there? What are what's in your chakras? What's in the body that's stored, that maybe we didn't know was there. And that's really helpful to be like, oh, okay, I need to move through this situation in order to feel lighter or regulate my nervous system. Kind of goes back to what we're saying before about how happiness is a choice. You know, if we have a dysregulated nervous system where we're so used to being in stress
151
::Nikki Novoselsky: choosing something different. It's like your body actually isn't choosing that because the body is stuck in this dysregulation, and so it can be hard to choose that because the mind wants to choose that. But the body is like, hold on! We got to catch our breath, and so a lot of the work I do is
152
::Nikki Novoselsky: regulating both. It's that mind body to get them on the same page. Because you're right. It is so important.
153
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And this is more than just the woo aspect. When you, you know, you talk about the mind, body connection. People are like.
154
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Sometimes they just go to the oh, they're just boot people. But really, your thoughts create chemical reactions in your body. And those chemicals, have
155
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: they? They make your body do different things like
156
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: when you're when you're sad, when you have sad thoughts, it creates a chemical reaction that creates tears in your eyes, and those tears are different. Sad tears are different than you know. Clearing your eye tiers, they have more more different chemicals in them.
157
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: so
158
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: it it creates a physical response. It if you are, are in fear or stress. When you're stressed, it causes a chemical reaction in your body, and
159
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: you can. You can do this exercise at home. I don't recommend it, but you can think about something that's really really stressful. And then just think about how is my body feeling? Is your heart pounding faster? Is your breath shallow and and fast rapid?
160
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: That's that's chemicals that are released in your body, telling your body to do these different behaviors, and you know we just
161
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: have been trained for so long to ignore these symptoms. It's why so many people have heart attacks. They're just so out of tune with their body that they've missed all the signals along the way. What you know you're talking about your your digestive tract being upset. Well, your digestive tract is connected directly to your brain.
162
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and when things aren't working right in your brain right down to your digestive track, and that's the 1st thing that shuts down. So your liver is like, well, no, we're not processing anything. Everything goes to fat
163
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: came over. And then we're like all stressed out because we're gaining weight. Well, Duh.
164
::Nikki Novoselsky: The cycle. Yeah.
165
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: The cycle.
166
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And even just talking about it is not the same as actually implementing in it to your life, which, again, is the reason for coaches and having people come alongside you and say, Okay, this is a practice.
167
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And this is how to get started. Or this is how to continue your practice. And you know, if you stop doing your practice, you're going to backslide. If you stop going to the gym and lifting weights, you're not going to maintain your muscle mass.
168
::Nikki Novoselsky: Totally, and I think you bring a good point, because I
169
::Nikki Novoselsky: before this whole Yoga journey and mindset, and all of that, I was very skeptical. I was very science based. I was like, woo. What is it real? I think there's a part of me that was like
170
::Nikki Novoselsky: they've got to be real.
171
::Nikki Novoselsky: But I was pretty skeptical. And now, diving into this world
172
::Nikki Novoselsky: even with my own digestive ibs all of that and stress, and even in the work that I'm doing. I've seen people come in with back problems.
173
::Nikki Novoselsky: worms, or just weird pain, and we work through it energetically, and then immediately they feel better.
174
::Nikki Novoselsky: or they'll come in and feel so distraught like sobbing, and we'll talk about it. We'll work through it. It's almost like we're moving energy, and by the end of it. They're like, Wow, I feel lighter. I feel better. And so to me, I'm like.
175
::Nikki Novoselsky: Oh, there's something happening here. Energy is real. There is something going on where we can move through it, and
176
::Nikki Novoselsky: having someone help you process that and
177
::Nikki Novoselsky: remove that energy that is
178
::Nikki Novoselsky: feeling stuck, or whatever that is, it's
179
::Nikki Novoselsky: so helpful. And I just working with my clients.
180
::Nikki Novoselsky: The skeptic has gone away right? It's like, Wow, this really does.
181
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Yeah, you can just kind of step outside of that and say.
182
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Just observe
183
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and and allow whatever is to exist.
184
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Like I,
185
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: you know, you recognize that moving energy
186
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: gets a result.
187
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: You don't have to even think about it. It's just something that for you. This is reality. And.
188
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And then, because of that, it, it helps shift other people into that same space. They get to experience it, too.
189
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: So how do you work with your clients. Well, what actually, let's talk about who your ideal clients are. Cause I think this is kind of cool.
190
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah. So
191
::Nikki Novoselsky: I was talking about who my ideal clients were with a couple of friends. And I was like, Okay, it's not a quarter life crisis, right when you're out of school or whatever. And
192
::Nikki Novoselsky: it's not
193
::Nikki Novoselsky: a midlife crisis. I'm like, it's that
194
::Nikki Novoselsky: in between area where you've been working a job for some time. Maybe you're in a relationship, or you just got out of a relationship. And like late twenties, early thirties, even into your forties, where you're like
195
::Nikki Novoselsky: hitting a wall. And you're like waking up to the fact. What I've been doing
196
::Nikki Novoselsky: isn't working for me anymore.
197
::Nikki Novoselsky: How do I step into a new chapter that feels more fulfilling, more purpose led, more connected, more aligned. And I've been calling it now, not the quarter life, not the midlife, but the try life crisis.
198
::Nikki Novoselsky: And it's almost like you're having a try life awakening to all right, this old version of me. I don't want to take this version into this new chapter. So how do I shift and change? How do I go after something that does feel more fulfilling, more aligned? And what can I shift in my life that will bring me that. So
199
::Nikki Novoselsky: I work with professionals who are feeling
200
::Nikki Novoselsky: stuck burnt out, wanting something new, wanting a change. Or maybe they're just feeling like they're on autopilot, and their life is monotonous. And they're like, all right. How do I add in more mindful tools and feel more connected to myself, to my partner, to my community. And that's what I help people with of stepping into that next chapter and also helping them get to their goals.
201
::Nikki Novoselsky: I talk a lot about. We get stuck in our own cycles. And so what I love doing is, how do we break your cycle to then get you really what it is that you want. I have a lot of people who come to me, and they're like, I want to make
202
::Nikki Novoselsky: X amount more money a month. I want to find a new partner. I want to
203
::Nikki Novoselsky: finally love my body and feel confident in it. And so what we'll do is we go through. Okay, well, what is the cycle that's keeping you stuck? And how can we actually break past that? So you become magnetic
204
::Nikki Novoselsky: to the goals and opportunities that you want, which can for me. If you would have told me oh, I would be traveling the world and
205
::Nikki Novoselsky: having my own business and making X amount of money to sustain myself and do this when I was miserable in Chicago and my corporate job, I wouldn't never believe it.
206
::Nikki Novoselsky: and it can be hard to believe. Oh, I can actually have that.
207
::Nikki Novoselsky: And so what I do is work with people to be like. Yes, you can. We can shift your energy to magnetize in new opportunities for you? So
208
::Nikki Novoselsky: it's so fun and fulfilling. And I love seeing the results that
209
::Nikki Novoselsky: my clients are getting from this
210
::Nikki Novoselsky: such a live work. That's that's my mission. I'm so glad that I found what really aligns with me.
211
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Why you're here, and I love that. It's an angel number. It's 3, 3, 3,
212
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: the thirds.
213
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yes, yes, yes.
214
::Nikki Novoselsky: and you know what's funny is I keep saying 333 all the time. Now
215
::Nikki Novoselsky: like since talking about that. I see it all the time. And I'm like.
216
::Nikki Novoselsky: okay on the right path.
217
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Yeah, it it totally is. It's
218
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: sometimes you just like
219
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: things show up for you that are just like, yep, okay, Confirmation. I can move on.
220
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: And I I really do love that you're you're taking.
221
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: There's lots of stuff for people like just launching.
222
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: and there's lots of stuff for you know
223
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: mainly women who have reached the point in their life where they're just like, Okay, I've done all this stuff. I don't know what to do. Now, what's next? You know whether they're getting divorced. Their kids are leaving. They're they're just there. There's comes a transition point. Most women's lives where it's just like it's really significant. You go through menopause. It's it's just that point. You become a chrome.
224
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: But really there's there's another section in there in A, in the life of mainly women.
225
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Where they've
226
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: they've gone into adulthood. They are women, they have established themselves as who they are, and they're they're pursuing their life, and and often they get
227
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: they get forced into careers, places where they're supposed to be supposed to go to school. And you're supposed to get a career. And you're supposed to do this, and you're supposed to do that. And it's mainly their parents that are pushing them. I mean.
228
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I'm a parent, too, and
229
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I do it, too, like we just want to see you successful. We don't care what it looks like, and we don't care how you feel about it.
230
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: It's all about us. It's not really about you.
231
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: happens. It happened to me as a kid, and I know that it happens to everybody and they mean well, it's nothing against your parents.
232
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: But you find yourself in this position. You know you wake up 5,
233
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: 6, 8 years into this career that you've invested a whole bunch of time and energy into, because you went right after high school. You never really had time to discover who you are. And
234
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: yeah.
235
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I I think it's so great that you're helping those people go. Whoa! Whoa! It doesn't have to be like this forever. You don't have to just settle for some guy or some relationship, or some job, and stick with it forever and be miserable.
236
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: That's your lot in life.
237
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Suck it up. Yeah.
238
::Nikki Novoselsky: yeah, totally. It's almost like a shedding of. Okay, that was that chapter. And now I'm ready to step into a new chapter that feels different.
239
::Nikki Novoselsky: How do I do that? And it's shedding parts of yourself to really discover who it is you want to be and who it is you want to step into.
240
::Nikki Novoselsky: and it can be really scary. But it's also really exciting. And I think there's
241
::Nikki Novoselsky: I've had so many people come up to me friends, clients, strangers that feel safe enough to tell me about their lives. And they're like been doing this for so long. And you know I got the promotion that I thought I wanted, and making the money that I thought I wanted. But
242
::Nikki Novoselsky: I'm still not happy, and I call it the checklist. You have everything on the checklist that you're supposed to have and be happy with. You have the income you have.
243
::Nikki Novoselsky: maybe the nice apartment, or the house, or the relationship. And you know, you're getting married or you're having kids. And then you hit a wall. And you're like, Wait.
244
::Nikki Novoselsky: okay. So I have everything I'm supposed to have. But
245
::Nikki Novoselsky: why aren't I happy? And actually I was doing some. I I the science nerd in me is still here, so I always use science and spirituality. And I always do
246
::Nikki Novoselsky: my own research in my own time. But there's a podcast and also the American sociologist of corey keys. He talks about it, of languishing, the feeling of languishing. It's not necessarily where you're completely depressed, but you're also not thriving. It's just this period where you feel empty.
247
::Nikki Novoselsky: and you think.
248
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Water.
249
::Nikki Novoselsky: I don't know. Yeah. You think that all these things are supposed to bring you happiness and excitement. So you're striving towards them, and then you get them. And you're like.
250
::Nikki Novoselsky: all right. That's not. I just am going through the motions. And I'm not actually that happy. And I thought that getting a relationship or getting this job or making more money was gonna be the end all be all key to happiness. And you realize actually, it's not.
251
::Nikki Novoselsky: And that's
252
::Nikki Novoselsky: where I come in and be like, Okay, well, it's an inside job. Let's work on that. And then whatever comes on the outside
253
::Nikki Novoselsky: that that will be more aligned to, I think, when we work on ourselves. And I've seen this time and again with myself, of the more I do the work on myself.
254
::Nikki Novoselsky: Opportunities like it'll be a 24 h thing. I'll do some deep healing with a friend or a mentor or a coach, and we'll clear out some of my own energy, and then the next day an opportunity will come up. And I'm like, Wow! That was quick.
255
::Nikki Novoselsky: It really is this like
256
::Nikki Novoselsky: setting of yourself to welcome in something new.
257
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Yeah, it's clearing space.
258
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: You get you get all full of sometimes junk. Sometimes it's good stuff, but sometimes it's junk. But you need to move move that out. So there's room for more stuff to come in.
259
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Opportunities. Energy, whatever. So how do you work with people? Is it groups one on one combination.
260
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah, I got the whole, the whole lot. So I love doing one-on-one work because it feels really deep and transformative. But I also love doing group work to see that camaraderie and see how we bounce off each other. So I have one on one vip work, and I have a group program as well. And then there's other trainings that I have
261
::Nikki Novoselsky: that people can look at and sign up, for. I have a free training, all catapult to clarity which really helps people. Okay, I'm not sure I'm feeling stuck. I don't know where I want to go. This gives an intro to some techniques that you can do, and some perspectives that will help shift you into finding. Okay, maybe this is the route I want to go. So I've got a whole lot of
262
::Nikki Novoselsky: free things. People can check out free resources to really dip their toe into this. And then, once you're like, okay, let's let's do the thing. Let's step into the next level. The next chapter. I have that one on one and group.
263
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Awesome, and people can find that catapult to clarity in the the show notes.
264
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: I'll make sure I put that in there. And how do they get in touch with you?
265
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah. So send me an email. I love you to get in touch with me. So anyway, whether it's email, whether it's Instagram Dms, I'm always checking my dms on there, which is just Nicky Nova Selfie altogether.
266
::Nikki Novoselsky: And on my website there is a contact form to reach out to me as well. So if you're an email person or an Instagram person either way.
267
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Awesome, and we'll make sure we put those links in the show notes.
268
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: Okay, this has been an amazing conversation, Nikki, I really appreciate you joining me? What's the one thing that you hope the audience takes away from what we've talked about today?
269
::Nikki Novoselsky: Yeah, I think that it's important to remember that at any point
270
::Nikki Novoselsky: you can shift and change, and that you are never stuck.
271
::Nikki Novoselsky: And if you feel stuck, there's always a way out, and you can shift your perspective on anything
272
::Nikki Novoselsky: thing to find more joy and alignment in your life. It just comes with
273
::Nikki Novoselsky: that shedding of the old self and really diving in to do deep work. So there's always that chance to create whatever life you want to create.
274
::Jill Hart-The Coach's Alchemist & Host of the You World Order Showcase Podcast: That's awesome. Thank you so much for joining us.
275
::Nikki Novoselsky: Thank you for having me. It's been a pleasure.
